For an Actress and Model Skin Care is Everything

Hi Everyone - Hope all of you have been doing well and are ready for Spring!

As Kira has been preparing for her trip to LA in a few months she has had to "face" her skin issues since she returned from Philly. Philly was not a good place for Kira's skin. There are so many things that can contribute to breakout; stress, water, humidity, the very food you eat. Kira has decided to start a program with products by Auriege. Most of us do not have to worry about a little break out here and there but Kira has experienced extreme breakout that covered her entire face. Since she has been back her face has started to clear up but she still has a long way to go.

We have decided to share with you Kira's experiences using the Auriege products and treatments she will be utilizing at the local Auriege Spa. (Please see my website for additional information on the Auriege Day Spa) And, we will show before and after photos. We want to talk about Kira's treatment and the products she is using. So, here we go.

I have asked Veronique Theret Distributor of Auriege Products and part owner of the Auriege Day Spa to share her comments and explain about the products she has recommended below.

Kira's skin is oily and she has experienced scaring from acne. I have suggested a skin care routine that consist of the Auriege skin care line specifically to address Kira's skin needs:

The Sebum-Regulating line with essential oils was created to prevent pimples from forming. The product includes plant extracts which naturally and effectively restore balance to the skin. (for more information and an expanded description of What Causes Acne - check out my new website www.imageis.com and check out the "It's About Fun" button.

Kira is using the Purifying Pen - it comes in the form of a roller ball - it prevents pimples from forming. Kira carries a purifying pen in her purse during the day and can treat any areas on her face.

Protective Balm is applied in the morning and evening. It protects her skin and regulates the sebum secretion and purifies the skin leaving it increasingly soft.

Active Skin Repair at night and spot treatment when she need it. It smoothes the skin druing the night and restores balance.

Kira is alos having Microdermabrasion treatments during the next 6 weeks.(to find out more about this process check out my website www.imageis.com "Just for Fun" button.

And Kir is applying sunscreen every day! This is so important for her skin's health especially during the Microdermabrasion treatments.

Thanks for your help Veronique!

Well, that is it for now Kira and I are both excited about the process.

Also, new information on Kira's film Generosity. Links to the new website and even a trailer to watch. COMING SOON! It gives me goose bumps.

Take Care,
Marianne and Kira

My, My, My it is March Already!

It has been months since I last wrote and quite frankly I did not realize that it had been quite so long. October and November were interesting months in Philly for Kira. The highlights were she moved into a new temporary place and a friend of hers came out for a week during Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving her and her friend took in some of the local and not so local sights and then began their long drive back to the Rocky Mountains where Kira is going to stay for a few more months. It was nice to have her home for the holidays.

On January 1st most of you know we started our move to our new home where Kira is basking in a 10' X 16' bedroom. NOTE TO SELF: never move again in the mid of winter during the holidays. People tend to spend the holidays with family and friends not moving other people. However, some of our closer friends did share in the festivities and for that we are very grateful.

Kira met with her agency and her manager a few weeks ago and is preparing for her next adventure in LA. Her manager told her that he has people that are waiting to meet her. If everything works out she should be heading out to sunny Cal in about 3.5 months. That should be interesting.

Kira did a few photo shoots with her friend Marilyn and I will get them posted to the site when I can. I took a few candid shots of Kira the other day while she was telling me a story and it was fun to catch her expressions.

Her last film Generosity did not get accepted into Sundance but they are submitting to several other film festivals around the country. We have not heard how that is going yet.

Kira has been working for me and recently did a small shoot for a client of mine for some postcards for a new skin care products that as far as I can tell are amazing. I tested one of their products and was amazed of the results I experienced. Check out www.ABISkinBeauty.com She is also helping me with another client www.CrutchRemedy.com. You have to check out their website. Not only is the product great, Riese (Kira's brother) was able to join in the fun and have his photo taken for the website.

Other than that we are waiting for the warm weather to show up again!

More to come and I hope all of you and your families are well.

Take Care!

Philadelphia!!!!

It is that time again, probably a little past "that time," but what can I say, I have been busy. Gosh, now that I am thinking about it, I have been real busy, Kira too and a lot has happened since I last wrote.

Kira got settled into her place in Philly the Sunday before I left, however the house that she had moved into was up for sale and wouldn't you know it, it sold. We did not expect it to move so quickly. Kira was in a bit of a panic because she was out there looking for a job and did not know where she was going to live. The place she was in was perfect and the price was right. Now, remember she could always move in with my brother, her uncle, but his location is so remote it would be a difficult area for her to be, but it was good to know that she would not end up out in the street. She had a few options that popped up during the next few weeks but nothing panned out. Meanwhile, she was called back to reshoot some stuff for her film and that was interfering with her starting a job and trying to find a place to live. The film crew were trying to coordinate with all the other actors and the schedule kept changing from day to day. That was not helping at all.

The night before she was supposed to move out I was talking to her on the phone and she still did not know what she was going to do. My brother was going to pick up her stuff the next day if she did not have a place to live. She saw two guys that she had met earlier sitting out on their deck. She told me that she would call me back. She headed across the street and a few hours later she called me back and she had a place to live. The move was quick and short. Way to go Kira. She has two male roommates (nothing romantic) and she really likes living there. Ironically one of her roommates was actually in Denver when she was here. His brother lives in Denver and he just happened to be coming out for vacation. He came to our house one day so we were able to meet him. I feel better at least know one of the guys. The day she was flying to Denver she got a call for a job. She told them she was coming to Denver to work for a few weeks and that she would be back. They told her to call when she got back, she did, and has been working at the local Marathon Grill ever since, it just happens to be only 6 blocks from where she is living now. It all worked out for the best but for about a month it was pretty crazy.

Kira slipped back into Denver and did not want to get involved in all the drama so she kept very busy working, 13 - 15 hour days and a few trips to Denver for voice over work kept her out of the public's eye until she showed up on the cover of the Colorado Daily. Dressed in custom for her shoot and her name not listed she was still able to keep under the radar, however she autographed a lot of newpapers that day on set, including many of her fellow actors wanted her autographs. Disappointment arrived when it was discovered that Kira's contract with the film only paid her if she did 7 or more days of reshoots. They kept it to only 5 days and thus no money. We will watch for that on the next contact. The good thing is that Kira will get residuals from this film so we hope it sells! There is a website but there is not much going on there right now. http://www.generositythefilm.com However, they have some cool t-shirts with the cast on them and the home page of the website has the graphic that is on the t-shirts. They are $10.00 and I am trying to purchase some more, let me know if you are interested.

I was able to attend the rough cut of the film since Kira was not around. The interesting thing about that was that none of the main characters showed up for that. Kira said a lot of them and including her struggle with watching themselves on screen. Anyway, it was so cool to see it. They have a lot of editing to do and they need to fix some of the sound and add scenes but it was very cool. We were able to write suggestions and make comments of ways to improve the film. I wrote a few pages, I am not sure if they will do anything with my suggestions but you never know. It was fun either way and it was so cool to see Kira on the big screne. There was some pretty good acting. One of the ladies sitting next to me said that Kira's character was the most compelling and I have to agree, she was good, even if I am her mom. What can I say.

Kira said good bye and jetted back to the East Coast. She really loves it out there and seems to be settling in nicely. She went to NYC last week to help promote an event that is happening this week. She got her first pay check yesterday and is heading into NYC today to participate in the event she was promoting last week. I do not think she gets paid but she is networking and it could turn into something eventually. More about that later!

It has been nearly 4 months since she left and in some ways it only seems like yesterday. She is working with her Agent/Manager team to get prepared to approach the agencies in Philadelphia. She has seen Mark Whalberg jogging down the street of Philly, she says he is much hotter in person! She was standing next to Robin Williams on the streets of NYC and someone asked her for her autograph, they did not even see Robin Williams. She is still hooked up with her agent in Denver so if something comes up in Denver and there is money involved she could come back here and work for a while. She has an audition in Denver next March for a local production and she has had a few other things pop up but she is keeping focused on the big picture. Once she is ready to go in Philadelphia it is a much bigger market than Denver and NYC is so close. She will have lots of opportunity to work.

Thanks for your support until next time, take care!

New York City!!!!

I can hardly believe it has been a month since we packed up and headed to NYC. I was there nine days and it was a wild time. We met some great people and some not so great people, we did some fun stuff and some not so fun stuff, but I think we both learned a lot. There are some really nice people in NYC and they were very helpful but every now and then you find someone who just wants to mess with you. Kira could not walk down the street without someone trying to stop her and talk with her or something. She finally started walking so fast that people could only get a glimpse of her and then she was gone. I could hardly keep up with her most of the time but I could always call her on her cell phone and tell her to wait for me.

We went to Times Square several times but that is mostly where the tourist hang out and we were trying not to feel like tourists. I was able to meet with four of my business clients while I were there and I spent most of my mornings working so I would have the rest of the day to check things out. The two hour time difference was tough and it took a tool on me out there and when I got back.

I put Kira in charge and I would tell her where we were going and she would figure out how to get there on the subway. We took Amtrak to Philadelphia to visit my brother and Lee and we took the Septa (local train) back to NYC. Both the subways and the trains were pretty clean and mostly a good experience. We got off at the wrong stop on our way back to NYC but 45 minutes later another train was there to take us on our way. At one point we were on a beautiful new train and it was very cool. However, the creeps are definitely around and come out at night. When you stay in the areas where the tourists are it is pretty safe until late into the night but just ridding the subway late at night to other locations is something I would try to avoid. The town is definitely hopping at all hours of the night. Most of the bars do not close until 4:00 - 4:30 in the morning. Just in time for people to get home take a shower and head to work. It is a crazy and fast pace life it you want it to be.

The last time Kira and I were in NYC it was also during the 4th of July. We went to Pier 17 for a huge 4th of July celebration. It was a beautiful night, the weather was great and we had so much fun We met some really nice people and spent most of the time with them. The Pier has all kinds of cool shops and restaurants and is a huge tourist area. One day when we were there we saw them getting ready for a scene in a movie and another day we were walking around we saw them shooting Law and Order. This 4th of July it was raining and we went to the same pier but it was packed it was hard to find a place out of the rain and Kira and I got soaked. We finally decided to head back to our hotel, it finally stopped raining and we walked to another pier that was only about 3 New York blocks away from our hotel and watched the fireworks. There are beautiful parks and I love being so close to the ocean. We did not get to do a lot of the tourist stuff, for instance our hotel was right next to the Empire State Building and we did not check it out. I want to waiting for the rest of the family to visit.

My brother lives in a great little place but it out in the middle of nowhere. I think his drive way in about 3/4 of a mile long but he has dear walking in his back yard and he has ponds with fish in them and the area is beautiful and green. We spent the night there and it was fun to see Bob and Lee. It was a short visit but then we headed back to NYC.

We were off the beat and path quite a bit in NYC and Kira has ventured back several times since I left but she is very comfortable with getting around, riding the train and the subway and knows what to do and where to go when she gets there. She is finally settled in a place in Philadelphia and has started looking for an evening job so she can do auditions during the day. She is about 45 minutes from Bob and about one in a half hours away from NYC. Ironically she is going to be back here in a week to do some re-shooting of her last film (they are paying her way back and paying her while she is here) and then back to the East coast.

We met some really nice guys in New York City the first night we were there that were from Sweden. We hung out with them and played foosball and pool. The next night Kira went to a comedy show with Christer. Christer and his fiend left the next day back to Sweden. Christer is an artist and does some great stuff. Here is a link to his website. Check it out. http://www.christerchytraeus.com/

I think that is about it for now. I admire Kira for know what she wants, taking the initiative to step out of her comfort zone and make a huge leap. Congratulations Kira! This is your first step to being a Supper Starrrrrrr!

NYC - Here we come!

It has been a while and I apologize. So much is going on and things are moving so fast I can hardly keep up. The tickets are bought, the hotels are booked and we land in NYC on June 27. Kira Lynn's meeting with her International Agent went well. She wants Kira to be in Philly for a while - it is only about 2 hours out side of NYC. We have a meeting with a casting director when we get there and a friend of Kira's is setting her up for dinner with a comic friend of hers.

It has been amazing how many people know people in NYC. I will be there for 9 days. I have a few client meetings while I am there but this trip is to get Kira settled in and for her to make some good connections. She has a temporary place to stay in Philly while she gets things figured out. Her International Agent can get her work quickly modeling in Philly so Kira will probably do that for a while and then head into NY or LA. We never want to forget that Kira's passion is acting so she will be working on fine tuning her craft.

So, lots going on and nothing is set in stone yet but I will keep you updated.

Thanks to everyone for all their help!

Kira Lynn Moving to NY

Wow! I guess time really flies. Just a few weeks ago Kira was 12. I decided that since reality is moving so fast I thought I may need to move things forward some and we can catch up as we go. If you want to read Kira's story you can go to www.kiralynn.com. That explains what happened a few years ago. Kira and I have decided to move forward from that. Kira has been healing from her car accident since October 2004. It has been a long road but she has been amazing.

Kira continues to pursue her dreams and her next step is to move to NY the end of the month. She just wrapped on her 5th film and even though the first 4 films were not much to write home about it helped her land her most recent roll as "Chloe" in "Generosity" that wrapped on May 25, 2007. Sundance here we come.

I feel that I have to mention that Kira's last film "BackSlash" just released on DVD May 8, 2007. She will hate me for mentioning it. The movie is a "B" rated teen slasher with T&A and one of those movies that, well what can you say, she is on the cover of the DVD and I guess you can not complain about that. It was a great experience for her and me as an associate producer. Okay, another one of those, what can I say, I have been an associate producer and I did not even have to put up any of my own money.

I have a few photos to upload that were taken last year and she will be getting more new photos in the next few months.

Thanks!

Kira Lynn at 12

When Kira Lynn was 12 I was talking to a friend of mine and I found out that she was a Sr. Model with a top agency in our area. I started to tell her about and how Kira wanted to be a model and actress but, I had no idea about how to help her to do that. My friend suggested that she take Kira Lynn with her to the agency for a visit. Not as a prospective client but to just as a friend's daughter running errands with her. So, we arranged it one day and I brought Kira to work with me and my friend took her to the agency, braces and all. When they came back they were both so excited. The agent asked Kira if she had ever thought about modeling. Kira said yes and they told her when you get your braces off have your mom call us. Now, I did not know until much much later that only 1 out of 100 people that approach an agency get a contract. We may have felt defeated before we ever got started but we did not know this and thankfully no one told us beforehand. Kira could hardly wait to get her braces off and the day she did we called the agency. I was surprised when I called they knew exactly who she was and we made the appointment. Kira had her braces off but there was still work to be done and I wanted to make sure before we made the investment into having her teeth bonded and such that they were serious about her. I took her in and we met with the agency and I told him I needed to know what to do. The teeth issue was something that would take time and money. The agent looked at me with a huge smile and said, "yes, have it done." Several thousand dollars later Kira and I showed up to sign the contract at her ripe old age of 13.

The strange thing is that Kira did not want anyone to know what she was doing. We had to keep it very hush hush. I am the proud mom who just signed her daughter with a top agency and I couldn't tell anyone, what fun was that! I did mention it to a few people and some family and then I realized why Kira did not want to tell people, they did not believe it or believe in her or that she would successful. For Kira, I think it made her more determined. I became disappointed and began not to tell many people about it either. My true friends knew and believed me and some of my family but right away everyone started telling us why she would never make it and on and on and on. We let it drop and Kira and I just did our thing.

The funny thing about children they do not understand the idea of defeat as long as we don't tell them. They are willing to try. As we get older we hold ourselves back. We don't allow ourselves to dream anymore. We get excited about our dreams and our ideas but people around us start explaining how it won't happen and sometimes the people that are closes to us are the worst, suddenly our dreams fade away and eventually we can't even remember what they were. Everyone has an opinion about everything. It took me a long time to realize that their opinions do not matter, the only thing that matters is my opinion and what I believe in.

I say, let our children dream and they just might surprise us! We should never stop dreaming!
